Participation in FAIR activities
FAIR (Facility for Antiproton and Ion Research) is an international research project being constructed at Darmstadt, Germany at
GSI (Gesellschaft fur Schwerionenforschung) –institute. The FAIR is expected to be completed by 2018. The Finnish FAIR cooperation is coordinated by Helsinki Institute of Physics (HIP), and
the research is being conducted mainly at the Detector Laboratory and at the Physics Department of the University of Jyväskylä.
