Eguchi-Kawai model with adjoint fermions

Eguchi-Kawai model is a single site SU(N) matrix model, which was argued to agree with infinite volume SU(N) pure gauge theory at the large-N limit. However, the model has been proven to be incorrect at the continuum limit. I will first review the standard Eguchi-Kawai model and problems associated with it. Then I'll discuss EK-model with adjoint fermions, which cure the problems of the original theory.
