However, this strategy is insufficient for probing a class of important thermal DM targets for which non-relativistic scattering rates are highly suppressed. This opens an unexplored region of parameter space and motivates the development of detection strategies specifically tailored to low-mass dark matter. In this talk, I will discuss examples of such models and outline novel detection strategies designed to probe them \u2014 either directly, or indirectly through the detection of light dark-sector mediators.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Thursday 21 May 2026 at 10:15 in A315 and using Zoom: Michal Heller (Ghent)<br \/>\n<\/strong><em>TBA<br \/>\nAbstract: <\/em>TBA<\/li>\n<li><strong>Tuesday 26 May 2026 at 10:15 in A315 and using Zoom: Mika Nurmela (Helsinki)<br \/>\n<\/strong><em><span data-olk-copy-source=\"MessageBody\">Towards the full four-loop pressure of cold and dense quark matter<\/span><br \/>\nAbstract: <\/em><span data-olk-copy-source=\"MessageBody\">The physical nature of the matter within ultradense cores of neutron stars is closely linked to the equation of state \u2014 the relationship between the pressure and energy density of cold and dense quantum chromodynamic matter. Over the past decade, significant progress has been achieved in the calculation of the subsequent correction to the pressure, with only a handful of integrals currently remaining to be evaluated. In this talk, I will address the challenges encountered in the evaluation of the naive hard mode contribution to the pressure and present the necessary tools for evaluating the corresponding integrals.
