Portrait photography support<\/strong><\/h1>\n

Heikki (a fictional character from Researchers’ Night 2021) is demonstrating different setups and styles for the portrait photography available at HIP.\u00a0 In addition to these setups with fixed background, photos can be taken e.g. at the office or when operating a device or measurement instrument in the laboratory. The subject can also bring a special accessory for the portrait e.g. a tool or small device etc. (as an example Heikki is holding his 3D glasses in these photos).<\/h3>\n<\/div>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>

BLUE BACKGROUND<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>

The (light) blue background works with a single flash setup with optional reflector on the shadow side. An extra flash behind the subject can brighten the background or with a color gel introduce vividness to the photo.<\/em><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>

YELLOW BACKGROUND<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>

The yellow background is also light enough to work with single flash only. Again one can adjust the color and the brightness of the background with an additional flash placed behind the subject facing the background.\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>

BLACK BACKGROUND<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>

With black<\/strong> (or dark) background, an extra flash placed behind the subject is usually needed<\/span> to bring the focus to the face of the subject especially with dark haired subjects. The color of the extra flash can be modified with colored plastic films (gels) to bring e.g. cool or warm tones to the portrait.<\/em><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>

WHITE BACKGROUND<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>

The white\/light gray background works with a single flash setup. The neutral background color can be adjusted with the flash placed behind the subject. Usually a smaller power level setting is sufficient to bring subtle color effects to the background.<\/em><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>
