Supporting Course

The University of Helsinki’s lecture course Computing Methods in High Energy Physics (PAP331) can be useful for a summer internship by providing an opportunity to familiarize oneself in advance with the CMS experiment’s software and gain basic knowledge of the practical programming skills that summer students are likely to need.

CERN Summer Student Opportunities

Note: The application deadline for CERN’s summer internship is January 26, 2026, and for Openlab positions, also January 26, 2026. Since for these CERN positions recommendation letters from professors, etc., are required, it is advisable to allow more than just a few days for the application process.
