“Quasi-Particles and Quasi-Worlds”
Abstract: We can use theoretical ideas and techniques that were originally developed to describe the world by building up from elementary particles to describe different forms of matter “from the inside”, as quasi-worlds built up from quasi-particles. We can also use them creatively, to imagine new possibilities. This line of thought has a glorious past, a thriving present and a brilliant future.

Time and place: Monday 5 September – Thursday 8 September 2022, Valencia, Spain
To whom: The school is aimed to provide a pedagogical introduction to lattice field theory techniques and their adaptation to simulate the dynamics of interacting fields in an expanding background. The school is aimed to anyone who would like to learn (or simply improve their knowledge on) how to simulate in a lattice the dynamics of early Universe field theory scenarios.

Observations: The school will be held in person, in Valencia, Spain, during 5-8 Sept 2022. In case the demand exceeds our room capacity, we will give preference to young researchers (PhD students and postdocs). There is no fee, but participants are expected to cover their own accommodation (we will provide suggestions in due time). Participants are expected to bring their own laptop.
