Researchers Abroad (Tutkijat maailmalle) program provides grants for research in technology and economics abroad.

  • The purpose of the program is to support ambitious technology or economics researchers to conduct research at a high-level foreign university or research institute.
  • Applicants must have at least a master’s degree, but the grant is also suitable for an early-career postdocs.
  • Researchers working in companies can also apply for a grant.
  • The foundations funding the Researchers Abroad program are flexible donors. We always strive to realize a valuable opportunity for international research cooperation.
  • Next application period is open from 2nd of March until 17th of April 2026.

Inter-Country Travel Grant

Invite U.S. Fulbright scholars, teachers, professionals and advanced PhD students to Finland. Fulbrighters need to be on their Fulbright grant period during the Inter-Country visit (a maximum of 1-week visit).
