FAIR  review report published

In 2015 the shareholders of FAIR GmbH decided that the science case and construction project of FAIR should be reviewed in 2019. The international group of experts chaired by Lyndon Evans (and Juha Äystö as a member) recently presented its final report to the shareholders. The reports confirms the globally outstanding level of the science programme of FAIR and rated the it as a top international science project for decades. The report also includes the assessment of additional costs that are around 850 M€ higher than what was anticipated in 2015. Large part of the additional costs are attributed to civil construction.
